Spring

We have become bird watchers this year. We've watched this robin build her nest in such a rapid yet incredibly efficient manor. It's just amazing what these little creatures are capable of.

I have decided that of the bird eggs I have seen, robin eggs are the most beautiful.
Where on earth do they get that gorgeous color?

Our kids are now the proud owners of a trampoline.

They were so excited that they simply couldn't wait for us to get the enclosure on to jump.
I was a nervous wreck while they jumped an giggled... for all of 10 minutes. Then it was time to get off so we could finish.

The kids are in heaven. They just love this thing.

We have also found that after a long day of play there is no better way than to end your day with sitting around the fire with your friends roasting marshmallows.

We're off to a good start this spring.

Half way!

Well here we are... 20 weeks
and with this pregnancy (as I expected) my tummy is pretty big.

(I've held onto this shirt just for this occasion, my 20 wk belly pic)

My pregnancy with Michal...

My pregnancy with Naomi...

Anyhow, I'm feeling good which is important as I have two very busy kids that I have to keep up with. I'm really looking forward to this summer. I plan on purchasing the family pool pass to the local pool and pretty much making it a daily thing. Michal is also looking forward to taking tennis and soccer lessons. Naomi I have a feeling is going to love my idea of going to the pool everyday as she is my water baby. As long as the weather cooperates, it will be a great summer with the gift of a new baby to top everything off. How can one complain? Ahhh, even if the weather doesn't cooperate we're going to have a great summer spending time together as a family.

Happy 5th Birthday Michal

We still can't believe you are such a big boy... 5 years old. Wow!! Michal is a sweet, spirited, sassy, fun loving little BIG boy. What a joy to share our days with. We are truly blessed.

Mikey wanted his b-day party at the bowling alley. It was a great idea. A ton of fun for all and no clean up for Mommy and Daddy. That is a great success!

Still the same year after year. Mikey gets so embarrassed when we sing Happy Birthday to him. It just wouldn't be the same without that response. I really is something to get a good chuckle at.

 PIZZA!

STRIKE!!!

Mikey got a new big boy bike and yesterday Mikey rode on his bike all by himself...
NO TRAINING WHEELS! Michal you are simply awesome.

We also went to the Wisconsin Dells and had a great time at the Great Wolf Lodge swimming and playing. That place is a giant play land for kids. Good times.

We love you big boy and we will always be by your side... no matter what life throws at you.

Dream catcher

Last night after reading Michal his bedtime stories I just laid there with him for a few minutes. He can be very snuggly... especially at bedtime, he hates going to sleep by himself. Anyhow just as I was getting up he looks at me and asks what the thing hanging in his window was. I thought we told you... I'm sorry buddy. It's a dream catcher. It catches the bad dreams and let's the good dreams come through. So there won't be any bad dreams in here! Michal looks at me and says, "I like that! I really don't like bad dreams". Good, you have nothing to worry about then I say. Michal closes his eyes and looks as though he's falling asleep. All of the sudden his eyes pop open and he asks, "does Naomi have one in her window?" I tell him that she doesn't. "Well, we have to get her one, she needs one too Mom!" says Michal. Yes, she does and we'll do that for her... from you. I love these kids.

Cocoa butter

Thank the heavens for cocoa butter lotion. The moment I find out I'm pregnant I start my ritual of slathering on cocoa butter at least twice a day. So far it has been a blessing and I've been very fortunate to not get stretch marks. Anyhow we have experienced some very strange but welcomed warm weather. As Naomi and I are enjoying the weather I decided I was much too warm for pants and I needed to go dig up my shorts. I go upstairs and proceed to find a pair and get changed and I notice how white my legs are! One of the things about spring I don't love... White legs. Anyhow I figure if I put some lotion on it won't be as bad, well as good as we're gonna get. I used the cocoa butter since it was readily available. Oh my goodness! The rest of the day I kept feeling a soft and wet little tongue randomly licking me legs! Naomi loved the smell and apparently the taste to boot. I just love that little girl.

Baby #3

I've been waiting a while to post this one. I made up the post and wanted to save it until I went to my 14 wk doctors appointment and heard that little heart beat. I went in this am and heard that sweet little sound. I posted on Facebook last week which was living on the wild side. However, the blog is my keepsake and I wanted to be certain before making anything official... so let's hope that all continues to go well. Fingers crossed.

So, here we are... both the baby and myself are growing. I've found that with this pregnancy (#5) my tummy is getting big and FAST! That's fine, I don't tend to worry too much. Sure I have my moments where I panic and think I'm fat but then that little voice chimes in and reminds me that this is what is supposed to be happening. Right? Right.

Now the question all have been waiting for... are we going to find out the sex. NO.
I really want to experience that moment where after I go through treacherous labor pains and finally get this little babe out, the doctor holds the baby up and enthusiastically says, It's a ....!

Doesn't that sound nice?

I couldn't wait with either of my other two and found great reasons to justify finding out early. I'm fine with that and to be perfectly honest meeting them for the first time really is enough of a surprise. I just know with everything in me that this is our last child and I would like to get this one extra surprise with this one. Anyhow, Mike and I are passed disillusioning ourselves with putting the baby in it's own room. First, we never moved either of the others to their own room until they were one. Second, we don't have a room for this baby. So, which lucky kid will get to share? I guess that will be a surprise too!

Oh and yes I will be getting 20 weeks worth of shots in the ass again.
In case your were wondering. ;-)

Good times in Florida

(Naomi pointing to the birds, Mikey making his move for the sand and Grandpa all bundled up)

In the start of February I packed up the kids and we were off to visit my side of the family in Florida. The kids hadn't seen Grandpa Mike since Naomi's birthday in October and poor Nancy hadn't seen them since Naomi was born. We were lucky that Grandma Robin and Great-Grandma Connie were able to come to Jax and spend the last few days with us. Plus, we were surprised by a visit from Uncle Stu, Aunt Tanya, Maximus and Apolonia! I still can't believe they drove all the way up to Jax to spend an evening with us, it was a treat. Living up here in Wisconsin is wonderful but we are missing out on seeing family on a regular basis. I think we made the right decision to go to Florida, it was a lot of work traveling with the kids by myself. We survived and they were truly terrific.

This is great! It's even better for throwing!!

I love the expression on Michal's face, hands on his hips... Mr. Mom. ;-)

Aren't they sweet?
The two were holding hands and my heart melted...

Home sweet home. Cool kids.

On another note, I should have posted this a while ago but things have been down right crazy here. Poor Daddy fractured a rib at hockey almost two weeks ago. It has made for interesting times around here. It was the first time I ever had to take care of him, I realized he's the one always taking care of me. It was strange but nice (taking care of him)... and busy. I say was as even though there is not much you can do for a fractured rib, other than rest, Mike is not doing much resting. He only took one day off work, which I think is crazy as he is still coming home in a good bit of pain on a daily basis. I tell you nothing will keep that man down. Anyhow, we are all sick of this crazy winter and looking forward to spring. Michal is super excited for his birthday and is busy planning his party, which the plans change hourly. I haven't started planning yet as he can't make up his mind... poor kid. Naomi is into everything. Naomi is a very busy girl and she takes 100% of my attention when she is awake. Lucky for me she sleeps beautifully all through the night... so do I.
