It's a BOY!!!

Welcome Leo Mieczyslaw!

We welcomed Leo Friday August 31, 2012 at 2:05 pm weighing in at 8 lbs, 1 oz and 20 in long.

The doctor broke my bag of water at 10:55 am. We walked the halls for an hour and it was on. We then made it back to the room where my hubby held me and did all he could to try and help me get through the pain. My Mom, Grandma Robin, was there and it was nice to have her support. Unfortunately there wasn't much for her to do but just be supportive and she did a great job at this. I mostly moved from position to position desperately trying anything to find some sort of relief without any luck... of course not, I was in labor! Silly me. Anyhow we started the same way as we did with Naomi, basically doing a slow dance trying to help the baby work his way down. This really is a beautiful way to really get through the early stages of active labor. Then I ended up going into transition leaning on the birthing ball. Once I transitioned I was in so much pain and I was hoping and praying that this child would come out much faster then he was. All I wanted to do was push but then I didn't want to push as it hurt too much. Luckily, things moved much faster than they felt and after pushing (I don't know how long I pushed but it was shorter than with Naomi) I finally got his head through. That is indescribable. I remember thinking that I had to push harder and push through the burn  FIRE. That if I could just push harder with each one than it would hopefully be one less push I'd have to do. Success! The head was out... now for the rest. The poor little guys shoulder got stuck but luckily was wasn't hurt at all. All of the sudden I hear my hubby scream, "it's a BOY"!!!!!

Welcome my sweet, sweet beautiful baby boy.

Oh my, how wonderful to hold you in my arms... I've waited what feels like an eternity.

Yes, he's crying... this is good.

Look at his perfect little nose! I looked at you and immediately
thought you were the perfect mix of your big brother and big sister.

Amazing... simply amazing.

Our angel...

Ok guys bring me back to my Mama...

Baby feet, beautiful little baby feet.

The infamous Daddy hand shot.

Hi little Leo...

You complete us. Thank you!

Happy Birthday Mama... we're going home. I can think of no better birthday gift.

Why is it one of my kids inevitably has their finger up their nose?
There must be something good up there.

Snuggle time!

I think this will always be my best birthday ever.

A little playtime in the back yard. We can't keep clothes on Naomi... as you can see.

Hi Babcia

Leo's 1st bath... as my hubby said from a mosquito's point of view. Funny guy!

All clean.

Snug as a bug in a rug.

3 days old

The many faces of Leo

So sweet. Leo is such a sweet, quiet baby. He doesn't cry just squeaks and fusses if he's hungry. Which lately is pretty much all the time... hungry, not fussing. Luckily for him Mama has no lack of milk and always willing to fill him up. Which is happening as I type. Milk, it does a baby Leo good. : )

9 1/2 MONTHS!

38 weeks... could be any day, could be 2 more weeks!

So, tonight at 12:23 am was exactly the same point when Naomi arrived. Naomi was 38 weeks, 1 day and I'm pretty certain that I will pass that point with this baby. It appears that with each pregnancy I carry each baby further than the previous. I think I'm happy about this. I am happy to have a full term baby, who wouldn't be? I'm just ready to meet this little person that's been growing in my tummy for the past 9 1/2 months. I've found that since the other two came fairly early I'm impatient for this one to come, just assuming that the same would happen again. I've come to the realization that I just need to chill out and wait. This is easier said than done!

I feel absolutely, positively HUGE. I have only a few pregnancy shirts that will actually cover my expanding belly... as you can see this is not one of them. Hopefully my next post will be of our newest family member. I'm growing increasingly uncertain of this. For now, I'm patiently waiting....

Soccer!

I had no idea how much fun soccer was going to be.

I just loved watching him play and cheering him on.

Things like this make me want to be a kid again.

On Mikey's break he definitely took advantage of getting some relaxing in...
at least he was still watching the game, right?

Is it my turn yet?

Daddy and Naomi watching Mikey play. What fun I tell ya! I'm really looking forward to watching him play the rest of the season. Who would've thought I'd be a soccer Mom? I sure didn't, growing up playing tennis. Boy were we missing out, what a great sport! Mikey did great and I think he's going to have a lot of fun with it in the future.

9 months!!

I've made it once again. I can't believe it! I'm 9 months pregnant and boy do I feel it. I'm ready to meet this little baby and I know my hubby and kids are as well.

We love you so much already little one.

Just for giggles, I thought I'd post my 9 month picture from my pregnancy with Naomi. This baby is definitely lower  but I think that could be due to the fact that this is my 3rd baby. I think I'm either just as big or bigger than with Naomi but that doesn't really matter. Right? We are hanging in there and taking these last few days/weeks one day at a time.

A summer of 1st times

(Just a warning that this is definitely a Mommy brag post.
I'm so proud of my kids and I really want them to know it.)

Naomi had her 1st trip to the dentist

Naomi was definitely down with wearing the awesome pick glasses!

Hmmm... this chair is pretty cool. How do they get it to move like that?

All in all I would say it was a success. Naomi cooperated with the help of big brother.
When her dentist started to examine her teeth she got a little frightened and big brother came over and repeatedly told her it's okay and held her hand. It was really sweet. Way to go big brother and way to go Naomi for being such a brave little girl! The best part for Mommy was when the dentist said my little lolly-pop lover has beautiful teeth and all looks great.

Now that Mikey is riding his bike like a big boy he's been able to go on bike rides with Daddy and even some of his friends. It's been a ton of fun watching him and he has amazed both Daddy and I with how good he's gotten on his bike. We are so proud of you. It has been a big summer for you Michal... learning to ride a bike and swim. FANTASTIC! Naomi of course must do whatever big brother is doing and she scoots all around on his old scooter.. it's so cute and amazing how well she can use that scooter at only 1 1/2 years of age. Way to go kiddo's!!!

Seriously?

The kids wanted to go in the Hurricane simulator at the mall.
(notice how they are holding hands in every picture, heart warming)

Mikey is normally pretty freaked out by stuff like this.

  1. Naomi is my brave one... perhaps it's rubbing off on him.

Either way Mikey and Naomi had fun in there... I was seriously shocked.
I thought for sure they wouldn't like it.

  32 weeks pregnant

Absolutely everyone I talk to thinks I'm going to have this baby any day. Seriously?
It's too soon for that people, let's let this baby stay in there a while longer.

Wormy!

The kids had so much fun playing with some worms I pulled out of the ground while doing some gardening the other day. Who knew? Ok well~ I kinda figured they would get a kick out of it but, I didn't realize just how much they would enjoy playing with them.

Mikey immediately claimed a worm as "his" and named it Wormy.

Naomi was perfectly fine with this as it left her the other two to play with. I only grabbed three little worms. Perhaps next time we'll grab a whole bunch and see what happens and what kinda names Mikey will come up with.

Amazed and not the slightest bit repulsed by them.

Mikey returning the worms back to the hole.

Naomi was not crying over this but, she was upset and did not want to put the worms back.

Safely back in the ground

or so we thought... Naomi was determined to take them back out.
I must add that this did upset big brother as he didn't want her to hurt Wormy.

On a cleaner note: I finally used my X-Mas present from my hubby and went to Sundara Spa, by myself, for an entire day of Mommy pampering. Let's just say that it was heavenly and it definitely won't take me as long to use my gift card next time (if I'm lucky enough to be blessed with a gift card again). It worked out perfect though and it was just what I needed in my 3rd trimester with my 3rd baby. I'm feeling pretty darn tired these days... needless to say. Anyhow, thanks to my hubby and kids for letting Mommy have the day off to relax a bit.
