Kids saying 'Hi' to Mom and Dad while out for a quick weekend trip.
Mom and Dad saying 'Hi and we love you soooo much'
Chillin' on the hammock. Sibling sweetness...
It can't be summer without canoe trips...
sunbathing...
silly moments...
playing kickball...
Fun for all!
Look at my hat Grandpa Mike!
Slip and slide with all our best buddies...
SO.
MUCH.
FUN!
Play hard and sleep soundly.
I'd say they were a little tired.
We had a butterfly garden... an awesome learning experience for all of us!
Such wonderful memories...
Ella even joined in on the fun. Ella was the 1st to discover they had emerged from their chrysalis. It was about 5 a.m. and all of the sudden I hear the piano playing. I shot up (of course this happens when Mike was out of town at a conference) and thought, what is that? I hear the piano again. All of a sudden it hit me. I put the butterfly net on top of the piano and Ella must we checking them out. I go downstairs and there she is (similar to this picture but on top of the piano) and 3 of the butterflies are flying around the enclosure. It was an exciting morning watching the kids faces as they saw their butterflies for the 1st time.
Michal's last day of 1st grade. Yay!
Naomi learned to ride her bike in about 5 minutes. Naomi's amazing!
We love you sweet girl... more than words can ever tell.
Splash pad fun...
This is at one of our favorite parks in Madison (well anywhere would be a more fair statement). They have an awesome splash pad, cool playground and beautiful sidewalks wrapping around a lake. We always have the best time there.
Daddy took me see a One Republic concert in Minneapolis.
So. Much, Fun! The Script opened up for them and the entire show was a blast.
Naomi did a Frozen dance camp and she loved it! I was a little nervous as it was 2 hrs a day for 5 days (she was only 3 at the time) but she once again showed me what a big girl she is.
Fishing!
We love fishing!
Naomi and Leo love playing with the worms and Michal likes realing the fish in.
Daddy was even able to sneak away from the hospital to come join us in the fishing fun for a while.
That's a big one Daddy! ;-)
We went to Des Moines, IA
Daddy surprised us all with some emergency surgery... ON HIMSELF!
He had bad stomach cramps and after looking at a CT scan it looked like he had a blockage. Turns out he had a really nasty GI bug... if only he could say he at least got some time off for that. Nope. He went back to work the next day.
Not even a week after his surgery we were in Seattle, WA. We went to check out a job prospect and to see if we could see ourselves living there. We sure got some great pictures of the kids...
This might be one of my fav ever of all three! It really shows them and their personalities.
We watched all the Star Wars movies this summer per Michal's request. So, it was very exciting to see these street performers.
Naomi got her first henna tattoo... a unicorn.
The boys were afraid to go up to the top of the space needle so Naomi and I went by ourselves. All we have to say to them is... CHICKENS!
After coming back from Seattle Grandpa Mike came for a visit. Always so much fun to have Grandpa around.
After he left we had the pleasure of Babcia Ania visiting...
she makes the best flower-princess crowns.
We had trips to the aquatic centers
Ate our fair share of ice cream...
Climbed rocks at Rib Mountain in Wausau
Queen of the mountain!
The king on his throne!
And of course, would a summer be complete without camping in a tent in your own backyard.
I think not!
More to come...
