Happy 2nd Birthday LEO!!!!
Aug 31... Leo turned 2
Leo likes to take his time unwrapping presents. It took him all day to unwrap them. This drove Naomi nuts! Leo opened his gift though and he wanted to play with that gift... for a while before moving on to any other. I think it's a very sweet part of his personality. We will see if he still has the same approach at Christmas. ;-)
I made his birthday cake... with my frosting helper of course.
We must always make sure it's not poisonous.
Yup, it's GOOD!
The truck body was homemade carrot cake with green cream cheese frosting. The tires were double chocolate cake with milk chocolate frosting. Leo likes trucks... just a little. ;-)
Luckily for me, the kids loved the cake.
Happy birthday to the roughest and toughest two year old in Marshfield. Leo is all boy, he loves play fighting (saying hi-ya) and playing with trucks, trains and cars. He loves playing in his sand box and he LOVES his brother and sister. Leo calls Michal 'brother' and Naomi 'No-me'.
As always, the state fair comes to town on Leo and my birthday weekend. This year we spend most of our time sitting on different tractors and the other half of our time checking out the animals. The kids aren't into going on any of the rides... thank goodness for Daddy.
This is serious business.
I want to ride the horses!
Cowboy Mikey
Cowgirl Naomi
Cowboy Leo
Look at these sheep Mama!
She's so pretty she takes my breath away.
And these boys... well, they stole my heart.
Hello!
Babcia helping them feed the animals.
Hey there sweet girl.
She's soft Mom!
Umm... perhaps next time we'll have more cooperative kids. Haha!
The three little fire pigs! (that one's for you Michal)
I love these sweet creatures.
This little one was just born a few hours before this picture.
And then there were the bunnies!
How we love the bunnies...
No, we are not taking and home with us.
In heaven on this tractor... he was a little upset when we told him it was time to go.
1st day of school. Michal 2nd grade and Naomi half day 3K
Naomi had a blast, but it wore her out!
Nay doesn't normally nap anymore.
Michal came home with this. Henry (we've known since Michal was 2 yrs old) had the same teacher that Michal has and he wrote Michal this letter to receive on his 1st day of school. Sweet beyond words... thank you Henry. We love you kiddo!
My book club surprised me with a cake and wine...
I love these ladies.
We rode our bikes to and from school while the weather was still warm...
A little silliness with tattoo pens.
Naomi did the bungee jump at a fund raiser for their school. So cool!
We can't get enough of play grounds... sneaking some time in before big brother gets out of school.
Climbing! We love climbing!
Mommy loves mums!
Alright, so we bungee corded the wagon to the tractor.
Like you've never thought of that?!
Happy kid!
What's this? Back in Seattle you ask. Yup, we went back to sign Mike's work contract and buy a house. All in a few days work. No big deal...
Mike signing on with Radia. We are very excited about joining this group. We think it's going to be a great move for our family.
Home sweet home...
The view from our porch... there are two horses that meander in and out of that red barn. It's heaven on earth. We are very excited to finally move our family into this awesome house.
Some views from just driving around where we will live...
Not too bad!
Heading out to a dinner to meet some of the other partners wives.
Happy 4th Birthday NAOMI!!!
Oct 8 this sweet, smart, loving, best sister and a little sassy girl turned 4.
Naomi wanted a doll house so we got her this pretty super cool house
so she can play barbie or whatever she dreams up.
Luckily for me Grandma Robin is staying with us and the two of us put this thing together until 1:30 in the morning. It only took around 6 hrs!!! Lucky for Daddy he was on call. I think this might be the one time where vascular surgery might have been a more appealing option than putting this together.
It's safe to say it was worth the frustration and being tired for a day.
The kids ALL love it... even the boys.
Naomi's favorite restaurant is a Mexican restaurant in town called El Mezcal. So that's naturally where we had her birthday dinner.
Grandma Robin happy after a margarita!
Naomi happy with this mound of ice cream, chocolate & strawberry sauce smothered in whip cream. A little girls dream come true!
(this is in the wrong spot) Naomi and Michal's school pictures this year.
Back to birthday party fun!
It was Frozen princess themed naturally.
We painted pumpkins for the kids to take home as a keep sake.
This was a ton of fun!
We sang karaoke... these kids are super talented.
A princess and her knight
The birthday girl opening presents. So. Much. Fun!
We all had turns taking a whack at the castle pinata...
I love this picture of these two working together.
I love you kids!
Henry taking a powerful swing at it.
At last! Candy showering everywhere!!!
I painted faces for some very trusting little girls.
Lucky for me they loved it, phew.
Me and the birthday girl... thank you for a wonderful 4 years Naomi. I love all you kids so incredibly much and you make me a better person just by your presence.
Fall is here!
The view from across the street. This tree is amazing.
10-20-14 Aunt Yvonne welcomed Sebastian into the world.
The kids and all of us are so happy for you! Love you Aunt Yvonne!!!
What do you do on a cold rainy day? Take the kids bowling of course!
Michal took this picture and as silly as it is, I love it!
I was a little excited about my strike.
Naomi waiting her turn as Daddy perfects his technique.
Good times, HAPPY kids!
Happy Ella sunning herself.
Naomi and I spent an afternoon making jewelry. That was fun!
Naomi made a very cool and funky necklace.
Now that the rain stopped we took advantage of some gorgeous fall weather last weekend and walked through the woods.
Watch out... Leo has a stick! Hi-yah!
One last birthday shot.
